Who Am I
I accepted Jesus Christ at the early age of my youth, and I have walked with Jesus Christ up to this moment. I love to be
closer to people in terms of sharing together the wonderful gospel of our Lord
Jesus. My desire right now, is to get the Christians, who feel that God called
them to become evangelists to meet together, and we form a strong team to
proclaim the word of God; whenever, God sends us to go. I do not mean that you
are right now doing nothing, but to get together and work together in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, it
can help us to continue to proclaim the wonderful gospel of our Lord, and also to learn from one another.
I am constantly unsettled and challenged whenever I
look at the logic and strategy of the young missionary church in the book of
Acts, as it sought to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19). Considering
that the early church did not enjoy the numerical strength we have, or the
technological advances we take for granted. For instance, flying from one nation
to another within hours, whereas, the disciples in the bible had to travel for
days and days to go and minister in the word of God. One cannot but wonder how
this small group of disciples made such a tremendous impact in the body of Jesus
Christ. What was their secrecy? What can we learn from their strategy?
However, having studied the book of Acts, I decided to follow the foot steps
of our dear brothers like Barnabas and Paul. Ever since I accepted Jesus Christ
to become the master of my life, the more I think of what He did for me on the
cross; the more I want to go out and preach to others the love of Christ. I
have had an opportunity to preach in different parts of the world. You may like
to know a bit deeper what I am called for, in the body of Christ. God called me
to proclaim His word when I was a young boy, and God anointed me as an
evangelist. "Evangelist", means literally "The one proclaiming the Good News".
The evangelist goes out to proclaim the good news of the Gospel of Christ. It is
significant, I think, that when the first century church needed some benevolent
work attended to in Acts chapter six that the apostles (who were the evangelists
and preachers of the day) said - "It is not desirable for us to neglect the word
of God in order to serve tables".
The gift of evangelism is God's idea. An evangelist is to carry the gospel to
the world, but he is also given to the New Testament church. As an itinerant
evangelist, it is my heart's desire to see real revival come to places like UK
where I live and other parts of the world, and I believe that revival can start
in the local churches. While most of my meetings are preaching in church
revivals, I am also available for evangelistic crusades, Bible conferences or
any other preaching events. My work as an evangelist is to have
single-mindedness like the saints who preceded us. Paul instructed Timothy "do
what I told you to do" (paraphrase). I am not the chef. I am just a waiter,
waiting to get the Word out of the kitchen and serve it while it is still hot.
Single-mindedness means we stick to the basics. As preachers of the
un-searchable riches, we are not called to be inventors or even innovators. We
are called to proclaim of what has already been written. It is the working of
the basics which will fulfil our ministries and further the kingdom.
Finally, the goals of Jesus Is Lord Ministries, is to preach the word of God
in the name of Jesus Christ world wide. The ministry intends to open up churches
around the world, to disciple the new converts, helping the needy as well etc.
God bless you as you are taking part with us
to preach the word of our Lord Jesus Christ.
